Unclear whether the USB-C can carry video as well as USB keyboard/mouse control, for plugging into a dock. In the broken English description from overseas, all they give us is: "visual feast." HARD PASS until at least they spend a few pennies hiring someone who can write.

Have you seen any reviews that are comprehensive enough to test the video from a usb-c port? All these new mini pc's and I can't find any in-depth reviews on them. I don't trust this wave of mini pc's.

This is why you buy from Amazon, test them, and send them back if they don't work out.

I hate going negative, but this does not strike me as a great deal. Not when Amazon is offering a better-known brand, with a newer, more powerful N95 CPU for $139 after coupon. Or another Beelink S12, this time with an the even newer and slightly more powerful yet N100 CPU with double the RAM and storage for $177 after coupon. None of these is a powerhouse, but brand new sub-$200 powerhouses aren't really a thing yet. Or if size isn't a huge issue and you can wait for the next Dell referb sale you can often score a 4-year-old 3050 or 7050 SFF (midsize) with an i5 for about the same money.

Refurbished Dell midsize (SFF) and micro sized (MFF) computers starting at under $100 after coupons - see top of page for codes.

They do but in a slightly different, more book shaped format. the big difference is price and ease of access. Dell's micro form factor (MFF), Lenovo's ThinkCentre, and HP's EliteDesk are all intended for corporate use. I own two Beelinks and a few Dells and the difference in engineering is night and day. Dells are nearly tool-free.

Here is the first of a whole series of mini PC reviews.

Thanks. I was talking about a truly "portal" version like the form factor in OP's post. MFF isn't really something you can put in a pocket…

Ideally am looking for a form factor comparable to an iPhone 4…

I just got this one for my retro emulation that can handle up to PS3 and from everything I've seen and reviews read. This Beelink is a great price on sale with $30 off coupon for a pretty powerful system for 250.00, sale end in 3 hours at Amazon.

Amazon.com: Beelink SER5 Mini PC,AMD Ryzen 5 5500U Processor,up to 4.0 GHz(6C/12T),Mini Computer with 16G DDR4 RAM/500GB M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD,4K FPS/WiFi 6/BT5.2/Dual HDMI+Type-C/Support Auto Power On : Electronics

For $100 bucks more the one I posted blows this one out of the water in every way and IMO is worth the extra scratch...

To each their own. I'd rather have performance in a backpack or my much faster laptop in my pack or my tablet. We each have own tastes. Dell, HP and Lenovo are all about getting corporate IT purchase approval while saving desk real estate. Beelink sized are more focused on home hobbyists, gifts to parents, and very small businesses. There just isn't a huge market for pocket-sized PCs. My phone will do that job including supporting a monitor, BT keyboard, and BT mouse and run MS Word. but again, to each their own and I hope you find what you are looking for.

Yea. I prefer the engineering (and security as far as anything is concerned in this regard) from these big names…

One of the images on the item webpage says "All copper heat sink with built in silent fan" so I guess not unfortunately.

I agree with you, those are great micro-PCs. I have a couple of SER6 and love them.
