These are good TVS and widely considered the best TV of 2022 under $1000. It's competitive with more expensive TVS for far less money.

If you don't want to buy a model from last year, the best TVS of 2023 based on initial specs and rumors are the Hisense U8K, TCL QM8 and the TCL Q7.

I can't stand how many TVs use one of the 4k 120hz ports for arc. Why include 2 hdmi 2.1 ports if I'm only going to be able to use one to get the hdmi 2.1 features?

They should all be 2.1 by now, but having a 2.1 port that is eARC is what you'd want if you have a 2.1 capable AV receiver, so depends on your needs.

Can someone comment about the color banding and ghosting in gaming mode? I would like to buy this TV for gaming exclusively, but I'm worried about all the comments on the web saying it's got horrible banding and ghosting..

It's pretty disheartening to be honest.. I was about to buy it immediately but the more I read, the more I'm scared about these issues.
