PSA: The Kelty Offsite 2 tent has only one door.
This means the person in back has to climb over the person in front to get in and out.
If you're just using it as a one-person tent for car camping, it'll be fine...but if you ever plan to sleep two people in it, I strongly recommend a tent with two doors.

Sorry to hear that - must be your local store. I've had nothing but positive experiences with REI staff in general and haven't had any issues returning items. It's the company policy - why would store personnel care?
Buying tents is pretty hard. Pay extra for REI tent over coleman about ten years ago. But the REI leaked really bad, and I watched lots of videos about proper tent setup. Third time one of the seams ripped.
I'm sure the colemans suck too, but I can't imagine it sucking that much more than the REI that cost premium.

Got the big Agnes 3 man tent and love it. Don't need a bag if paired with ll beans best pad, and a couple of throws does the job. You can open up both sides so air flows right through the tent in summer season.

Everything I buy from REI has been trash. My store is super rude about returns. Buyer beware

Agreed, also any tent without aluminum poles is somewhat disposable, fiberglass poles just don't last. I'd wait for something with aluminum poles and spend more, however, if you're just getting started this isn't a bad option as the weight isn't horrible but again, don't expect it to last.

Are you talking about bean's camp futon 3 pad? That thing is great.

For a camp chair, that is light weight. It's not marketed as a backpacking chair. Then it's too heavy.
