Also tried to find T Square using google maps, couldn't find it. Yes, I am American and traveled numerous countries so I use google maps and translator extensively but be aware it will be limited there.
Important point not to be missed. Google services including maps, WhatsApp etc. do not work on Chinese internet providers, i.e. when on hotel wifi or with a local SIM card. However, if you roam on an American SIM card, everything works fine. Apple Maps worked fine and appeared to be much more updated than Google for that reason.

Uh yeah, it is. Per the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, at a homicide rate of 0.5 per 100,000 population, China is by BY FAR the safest major country other than Japan, including being safer than "Northern European" countries such as Norway, Sweden, Finland or Denmark, and about 13 times safer than the US.

Be it homicide or violent crimes in general, in no world is China merely "above average," with the only safer ones being the likes of San Marino, Andora, Monaco, Luxembourg, Singapore, Macao, none of which are in "Northern Europe" except Luxembourg.

Also, whilst China isn't drug free, its drug use/abuse rate is FAR LOWER than most countries, including Japan or "Northern Europe."

But what am I saying? Don't let facts get in the way of your BS.
because drug dealers face the death penalty for dealing 100g+ of drug. So don't be stupid and don't mess with drug in China. Other than that, if you can survive major US cities, you can survive in Beijing.

Why? Because of saying stupid stuff?
Sometimes actions or statements that seem innocuous or unrelated to politics in your eyes can result in detention, but many thousands travel there without incident. Still, I'd follow State's recommendations.

It's safer than traveling to Los Angeles.
What's the danger in LA? There are specific areas to avoid, but anywhere a tourist is likely to go is more than fine.

Stop false information... Taiwan is part of China...
If you understand anything
I was an ex CCP shill myself. The sooner you wake up the better. Are you referring to the word play of Taiwan constitution? The one China policy? It has it's own army and passport and governs by its own people. As far as I am concerned, it's a sovereign country.
I bet I know more about China/history/regime than 99.99% of yall folks here.
Taiwan can never be under CCP control for as long as the world still values truth, human life, and dignity.

90% of us will have no issues traveling to China. Just remember, it's a foreign country with their own laws, your rights don't matter there and no such things as free speech so don't be stupid and don't do stupid things.
Can't trust communists. The problem is the stupid things they brought upon you without you doing anything stupid.
I was stuck at the airport for 2 hrs in Vietnam with a toddler while they're trying to "solve" my visa issue just because I didn't want to bribe them. After 2 hrs the issue magically solved.

I witnessed they gave an old lady hard time when part of her signature went outside of the signature box on the custom declaration. They yelled and made her redo it just because she didn't bribe them.

If Taiwan is part of China, why people can not move between these two area freely?
Uh, because technically it is still in a state of civil war?
