I've had these for a few months now. Wanted something to watch movies late at night while everyone is sleeping. Tried a bunch of different headphones until I settled on this one. Every other highly rated headphone I tried, your Sonys, bang and olufsen etc just didn't get loud enough of have enough bass for low rumbling sounds. These get pretty loud and the bass and lows get pretty deep. Also the big earcups provide a wide soundstage for simulating dolby atmos and dtsx. Excellent sound quality when listening to music also. I know most ppl won't buy headphones for just watching movies but there's very little reviews and recommendations out there for this use case.

Not really sure what the issue is with woot?

Now if the product is refurbed that's one thing, but woot does sell new stuff too.

Woot is ok for most things, but not the Uber cheap clothing deals with the absolute worst materials and build quality. Avoid generic clothing on woot.

Been looking for something under the $300 price point for airplane travel as well as something that I can use for my walks and at home on the computer (needs a 3.5mm jack for that). Are these the best for my needs?

At under $300 you could also find some Sony's on sale, they have better ANC (but i don't think they necessarily have better sound).

But at under $150, i don't think there is anything that can compete.

Very tempting but then I got Microsoft surface 1 headphones for $89 from woot a few years ago that are a great quality too.

I am intrigued about the sound quality on this ...

These been on Woot for months. Tried them last year and didn't like them. Average sound, but just big and clumsy.

I got the same one too but my headband broke in half and apparently its a build issue and it is prone to happen you can look it up. So I am thinking to get them and see as I am in need for a new anc headphones
