Good luck finding a Hyundai dealership that isn't marking up 7.5k to negate the credit. Tried to buy one last year and they marked up anywhere from 2k minimum to 8k with add-ons.

Hyundai actually found the issue, it was an app that sent a bunch of information/stayed connected when the car is off. Teslas have a worse issue which is phantom drain, since the car stays connected for connectivity/app usage it drains the main drive battery. Ends up making the car horribly inefficient. People come back to their cars with way less drivable range.

You cannot buyout Tesla leases, not that you would want to after you experience the shoddy workmanship of those things.

Hyundai/Kia can get F'ed. Between the mass lack of immobilizers and engine failures, they've become the least desirable auto-manufacturer to me. They may be trying to escape their past with facelifts and logo changes (wow engine immobilizer is now standard on every 2021+ model, welcome to the 2000's Kia) but it's no longer a brand I'd trust or consider.

Even the base version has the fastest charging in the EV industry.
You mean usa ev industry? Outside usa lots of ev can charge beyond 500kw (i5 can only do 350kw max)

The base version above has an effective cost of $471/month. Significantly more expensive than buying a Model 3.

Stop buying cars. any and everyone is gouging like crazy. Unless it's a deal, or you really need it…take a pass. Dealers new and used are taking advantage of consumers. Even automakers are purposely making less cars to keep their cushy margins.

That DAS is way too high, better deals elsewhere if you know where to look.

This is not what the lease contract you sign says.
You can buy the car when the lease matures at the "contracted residual".
There is nothing in the lease contract that says you can negotiate the price based on its fair market value at the lease end.

Not interested in an argument, but that is incorrect advice.
There is an asset with a forecasted price and an actual value. Saying you can not negotiate a purchase price based on that spread (and interest of both parties) is silly... of course you can, and it occurs a large percentage of the time.

Had a local dealership (where I've shopped for years) sales agent show me the pricing sheet bc "he was sorry it's so bad" ... the pricing sheet had a line of "Market Adjustment" for $4500 over sticker added on. Dealerships are still being insane with "demand and supply" ... reasons

durability issue always there on Korean cars, so Tesla or leaf still preferred

I have seen dealers in central California have them advertised for lower than MSRP.

all QC issues regardless of brand are model/factory specific.
Some good, some bad depending how they're built
