My favorite pair of lineman's pliers are spring loaded, no brand name in sight, have a "hooked outward" handle on one side, and are huge. It's a breeze twisting together four 12awg copper ground wires together with that thing and snipping the ends off, rounding it all up with the huge head and then snugging down a wire nut.
But they aren't German. So I ordered these.

I returned these and bought the ones with the regular grips. I prefer those because they have a lot more grip.
That said, ignoring my grip issue they've been doing really well. They cut through MC and up to 1/4" bolts just fine with no obvious wear or decrease in performance, and the grip surface for wires is really strong. Makes twisting together wires super easy.
