I have a Sedona 1500 that I adore (as a testament to the Sedona), and a symetre 750 or 500, idk, that I have probably retrieved more than any of my other reels.
While an argument could be made that I'd be better served with a tenkara rod, or a light fly rod, neither offer the same feel.
I bought a 2500 and 500 alongside the Lew's Carbon Fire rods which were also marked down.
Great reels so far - totally worth 40.00
Would buy another size just for fun but not available by me.

Size 500 is perfect for ultralight fishing. Some folks might like to use 1000 size on a UL rod for it's easier casting (larger spool diameter = smoother casting). But depending on the rod, sometimes only a 500 size balances the best. I own several 500 size (Plueger President), 750 size (Daiwa QG, love them), and 1000 size (Daiwa Regal), each with different usecases.
