Make sure you're aware this game takes up nearly 60 gb of storage - and that's before you've saved any of your in game data.

From personal experience, I suggest not getting the Switch version of 2k. I dipped two seasons ago on a similar deal.

Game itself a downgraded version of the base game. Looks uglier, runs at half the speed, etc. The base game is there and good as always, but the lower framerate messes with the timing. There's also a noticeable lack of polish and a bunch of bugs (it's clear these ports are a low priority for the developers). It also was never able to connect me to an online match even though the game was on fire sale on the Switch store and #1 in top downloaded at the time.

Only should be considered if you have no other way of playing the game.

I've heard the previous few were gutted PS5/Xbox games missing features, is this the same? Mostly just looking for quick play basketball so wouldn't mind at 6$

Is this good for quick play and or MyCareer? Can't tell if this is going to be glitchy or not and don't want to waste 6 bucks

How is a basketball game almost 9 times bigger than Animal Crossing and needs more storage than the whole Bioshock collection? Me confused.

Yep, this works great on switch. I've already played through MyCareer on Series X through lvl 99 so I feel I've got a pretty good base for comparison. Been playing the Jordan career and playoffs modes and have had a great time with it on the go. It scratches the itch perfectly.

Yes definitely, just turn shot make to actual player percentanges or dial up a higher shot pct in the player sliders and they won't have to worry about timing shots.

It's more simulation than arcade. There's some complexity to the game but if they set the game mode to easy it should be manageable. Reducing difficulty makes the game more forgiveable about timing for releasing the ball during a shoot. Otherwise if you don't have perfect timing, more likely than not the shot will miss or get blocked unless you're using a superstar and being covered by a weak defender.

Haters gonna hate. I have all three systems so if someone told me that it's free on one of mine then I would be glad to know that so I can save some $. Been on here for a long time and then downvote culture gets me lol

Yea, missing some features such as the new eras mode. Normal stuff like My player and GM mode are there. Game plays well but a huge graphical downgrade. Still fun to have on the go.

I was a long-time fan, now just a long-time player.
I'm tired of these narratives on myplayer mode. I wish I could skip and not have to travel as if I'm playing some MMO. it takes too much time doing missions not related to basketball. Sure I get the point because they want you to experience it like the real players go through. I just wanted to be able to skip things and not having to ride skateboard to go mission to progress the myplayer mode.
graphics and mechanics are good. I think they downgrade it a lot for the switch version (i'm playing on Ps5)
