Note this is NOT a HEPA filter, that's what you'd want for smoke. Their HEPA like filtration technology seems to use ozone by some accounts, which has its own potential issues

In 4 one thanks. Seems it is almost easier ( and not much more expansive ) to replace the purifier every year instead of getting the filter lol

+1 for Levoit. I have the Blue Air 311 and it is annoyingly loud at every speed. It only comes out of storage during a really bad air quality event. I regret missing the return window on it. My Levoit purifiers are running 24-7 bedside with no issue.

all of the recent Blue purifiers are CARB certified.

That's California level certification for ozone production. The same state that has such strict food safety that half of what I see in my super market has some California birth defect warning on it.

Ozone is ozone. It's always detrimental to health. I only use mechanical air purifiers.

How often are filter changes and are third party ones available? We have two of the winix from Costco and you can get the filters on Amazon for cheap.
