Nintendo.com has recently restocked Official Nintendo 3DS / 2DS Batteries. These were out of stock for a long time before now.

This is MSRP (not a deal) / Just a heads up for those who might be interested in official batteries direct from the manufacturer vs. trying their luck on the third-party market.Shipping is $6.99 or free on orders of $50 or more (see other accessories [nintendo.com]).

For reference, iFixIt's 3DS / 2DS battery kit [ifixit.com] is $13.99 + shipping and does not include an official Nintendo battery. Third-party alternatives can be found cheaper, but YMMV on performance/quality.

Was waiting for these to restock for some time until I saw the shipping cost. Got lucky with one I found on amazon but I've only had it for like a week. Don't think these can be much worse than my original XL battery that lasted for 3 years until full charges only lasted about 5 minutes.

Looks like this would fit a New 3DS, but it might need some spacer/filler.

I just worry about having more lithium batteries sitting around.

It's back in stock at the moment. I'm waiting for them to restock the New 3DS XL battery though.
