Small but still designed to look like a gas car with too much high blocky hood length and almost no frunk utilization.
Polestar and Volvo could step away from traditional gas car design language. For this car you have a pointless for function long hood. You suffer inside because of that misplaced priority with the unnecessary limitation of back seat legroom and less wheelbase. An MG4 is the car to compare for current design of an ev. Good rear legroom. It's got a 2705mm wheelbase vs. 2650mm for this Volvo. 2 inches right there. 4287mm length vs. 4233mm for the EX30. The difference shows in the back door dimension.

Still not too late to cancel your Model 3 order if you FOMO'd into that. This Volvo is worth the wait and wipes the floor of Tesla for less money with much better quality.

Was really interested in the Volvo electric. Car looks great but with no physical knobs and a tablet. I am hesitant. I would need to test drive.

It is one of reasons i haven't gotten a Tesla.

This was an initial concern when I got my Tesla, but....there's controls on the steering wheel for things like cruise speed, stereo controls, text/phone controls, and voice command prompt....(in fact a recent SW update added more ability to customize what those things control)- and physical stalks for gear and turn signals and even a button for a wiper squirt.

What else is it you feel you need physical buttons for?

Says: Your Volvo retailer will help you finalize your pricing…

Sounds like a dealership.

Made in China? I know they did buy Volvo some years ago.

There's no guarantee that dealers are going to honor the msrp though, right?

Correct... as a lot of Ford and Chevy EV buyers learned this past year as well

So 26.5kw per 100 mile. 1kw here in cali is 34-37 cents now. So $9 for 100 miles. Give a take same efficiency as prius… range sucks too. I wanted to like it but ..

For anyone on the fence about waiting on getting the 35k version of this car, I'm willing to bet the over and expect it in 2025. Like every electric car before it the higher trim will sell first then when most of those orders are met they'll release the 35k trim version very slowly mid to late 2024. The odds of you landing one would be greatest in 2025.

Ppl talk about buying cars like they buying phones. I'm in the wrong line of work when a "deal" is posted for a car that not everyone needs.

I'll still to my paid off hybrid until the wheels fall off "literally". Otherwise, good to see some cheaper options (even though that interest rate will still getcha)

This is a not a SUV by American standards. It's a raised hatchback. No one calls the Subaru Crosstrek an SUV. Also, that reviewer wastes a lot of time. The car may have no gas but he's making up for it. Doug Demuro please.
Totally agreed! That dude is one of the most annoying YouTube reviewer ever to walk this earth!

The base version is rwd, model 3 base is also rwd but cheaper after tax credit. This car might be a little taller but not "bigger". The model 3 is old but still looks far better than this car…Im sorry but this is not comparison to a model 3 IMO

The interior of this looks awful, from the materials, color scheme, tiny tablet. Im sure the build quality is better than a Model 3. But I'd get the model 3, especially since that offers some self driving while this is very basic driver assist. Honestly disappointing as the exterior and specs are fine, but not much else
