Small but still designed to look like a gas car with too much high blocky hood length and almost no frunk utilization.
Polestar and Volvo could step away from traditional gas car design language. For this car you have a pointless for function long hood. You suffer inside because of that misplaced priority with the unnecessary limitation of back seat legroom and less wheelbase. An MG4 is the car to compare for current design of an ev. Good rear legroom. It's got a 2705mm wheelbase vs. 2650mm for this Volvo. 2 inches right there. 4287mm length vs. 4233mm for the EX30. The difference shows in the back door dimension.

Still not too late to cancel your Model 3 order if you FOMO'd into that. This Volvo is worth the wait and wipes the floor of Tesla for less money with much better quality.

I thought this is a to be released car? How did we get the glaring quality reviews already?

32" of rear seat legroom, ouch. The Chevy Bolt EUV has 39" of rear seat legroom.

then you clearly aren't a very informed person. volvo has long had a reputation for quality and being the safest car on the road.
using market cap to gauge the quality of a car gets a big wtf from me.

Volvo reliability has been rather poor, but good on crash tests.

Thanks for those videos.

Aren't there statistically more ICE vehicle fires than EV fires?
Wouldn't we be protected by the NHTSA?

I'd also wait for Sandy Monroe and Associates breakdown of the EX30.

Sandy does mention that Tesla can discount the Model 3 by 40% and still break even. I think Tesla would rather release a $30k Model 2 before lowering Model 3 prices to keep a profit margin.
you can thank him for promoting a shill channel. watch this guy's channel that's dedicated to debunking the garbage from those 2 bozos.

Looks a little bigger than a Chevy Bolt EUV, but made in China, so won't qualify for $7500 credit. Also, it's made in China. Screw that. Tired of everything being made there.

Volvo is owned by Geely Auomobile from China when it bought it from Ford in 2010. It should be cheap (or inexpensive) because many if not most of the components will be sourced/made in China. Volvo ICE cars' reliability is still shitty but maybe the EV cars aren't that bad.

The fit and finish may be better than a Tesla but Volvo is lightyears behind in battery and motor tech.

I always tend to tread carefully on brand new models that release...or a complete rehauld on existing model. I typically wait until third year to even consider as that is typically when all the kinks are worked out.

Unlike most Volvos for the American market, this will be built in China, not Sweden. It uses a platform designed by its Chinese parent company, Geely. Making sure every is making informed purchase decisions.

This was an initial concern when I got my Tesla, but....there's controls on the steering wheel for things like cruise speed, stereo controls, text/phone controls, and voice command prompt....(in fact a recent SW update added more ability to customize what those things control)- and physical stalks for gear and turn signals and even a button for a wiper squirt.

What else is it you feel you need physical buttons for?
I've owned a Model 3 since 2018. I love it. But it could be better. To answer your question, seat heater buttons, steering wheel heat button. It's annoying to have to take off your gloves to activate those things. Oh, and button for the back while their at it.

This looks like a Hatchback...
It is a hatchback. But insecure people wouldn't buy it if you told them that, so they're calling it an SUV.

This car is just a little bit larger than Chev Bolt EV and smaller than EUV.

BTW, if I reserve today, do I still need to pay the dealer markup? I am in bay area unfortunately.

EX30 dimensions: 166.7" L x 72.3 W x 61" H
Hyundai Kona EV : 166″ L x 71″ W x 61″ H
Kia Nero EV dimensions: 174″ L x 72″ W x 61″ H
Tesla Model 3 dimensions: 185″ L x 73″ W x 56-57″ H

EX30 will look more like Kona EV. Kona starts at $33,550 and has 256 mile range. I don't think EX30 is going to be a game changer. You can go and buy Kona EV now.
AWD for EX30 would be the upgrade I'm looking for that doesn't appear to exist even on the 2024 Kona.
