Small but still designed to look like a gas car with too much high blocky hood length and almost no frunk utilization.
Polestar and Volvo could step away from traditional gas car design language. For this car you have a pointless for function long hood. You suffer inside because of that misplaced priority with the unnecessary limitation of back seat legroom and less wheelbase. An MG4 is the car to compare for current design of an ev. Good rear legroom. It's got a 2705mm wheelbase vs. 2650mm for this Volvo. 2 inches right there. 4287mm length vs. 4233mm for the EX30. The difference shows in the back door dimension.

Still not too late to cancel your Model 3 order if you FOMO'd into that. This Volvo is worth the wait and wipes the floor of Tesla for less money with much better quality.

RAM truck recall #1. More vehicles recalled and twice as many caught fire than the Bolt.

RAM truck recall #2. Also more vehicles recalled than the Bolt recall.

If you cared to do research beyond reading sensationalist headlines, you'd know that EVs are less prone to fire risk than ICE vehicles carrying a dozen or more gallons of highly flammable liquid.

I'm not saying EVs are inheritly super dangerous, but at least ICE fires can be put out with relative ease compared to current EV battery tech.

This is not an SUV. This is a compact car. Mayyyyyyybbbbeee mid-sized. Maybe. It would be a stretch to call it that.
I love Volvos but this needs to be at least the size of XC90 or larger. Maybe some day.

The XC90/EX90 is a large full-sized expensive SUV. This model is a compact hatchback car. They are not similar in size or type of car and if your in the market for one of them, you probably are not in the market for the other.

The Model 3 is 42k and built in a tent with the worst build quality and nonexistent customer service. The Volvo is 35k. Its a Volvo. Nuff said.
No, that's the whole problem is you dont understand math but want to be really obtuse about it. It's not cheaper due to tax credits. And the way you go about this is really odd to be this into EV cars but also this stupid about tax credits.

What does that have to do with this car? The Civic has been in the mid size class for two generations now. That's the same class as the Model 3.
Are you slow or what? Civics are tiny.

0 of the ones sold in the US are made anywhere but in the US.

Specifically S, 3, X all made in California. Y is made in both California and Texas.

Semi is currently made in Nevada (and coming to Texas later), and Cybertruck production will be this fall in Texas.
Parts are made in China. I don't care where they put Chinese junk together.

Depends on your perspective. Civic is NOT tiny. They are no the size of the older Accord. Cars have been getting bigger and bigger. New Accord is now full size sedan

So how does the lease work if you want to buy it out, will the lease end up being a lot cheaper due to $7500 rebate? Has anyone priced the lease along with residual/buyout?

This maybe surprising to you. But Elon himself said in that Shanghai factory Tesla has the best qc.

the q is does this q for the 7500 rebate or not.
if not then gotta do calculations...
will have to be better and cheaper by 7500 in value then
ill be honest I want a PHEV not a full EV since I still need to travel around.

if an ev I also want the capability to use the car battery as a wall charger because I go camping with built in solar charging on top as an option.
doesn't need to be a lot but you can squeeze at least 200-400 w of charging at least up there.
if you still want a sun roof then it should easily be able to be moved back. as well as a two piece if we want.

lets say avg charge 200 w per hour and 2000 per day counting 10 hrs of sun.
400 would be 4000 per day solar panel setup shouldn't cost more than 500 in parts and labor but considering manufacturers they will charge 2000 at least for it and if it's from apple it would be 5000 or more.
just like the virtual reality headset that costs 500 to make and 3500 sold to public lmao.

81k whr is about the capacity of model y and it gets about 330 miles.

245 w per mile. = 4000/245 = 16 miles a day
2000/245 = 8 miles a day

anyway saves you at least some in case you get stranded
all they need to do is make it like a trickle charger for the system.

if they can do this for the trunk hood and side panels you can definitely get at least 1000 w in an hour and 10k solar per day. that's 40 miles or 5-10 dollars in gas saved per day or 5 dollars in ev charging cost saved per day.

5 x 365 = 1825 per year saved.
or
10 x 365 = 3650 in fuel saved per yr.

this is very very very good for environment.
someone needs to hack a method to charge ev inside the car and with solar panels it'll be perfect.

also a wall outlet in an ev for charging your other devices and using the battery as a lifepo4 battery. whomever designs it this way would get mega props and actually cares about the environment.
all these ev companies want to do currently is make things inefficient and super expensive for no reason other than to make higher profits.

Not slow at all. Just not sure what the size of a Civic has to do with the tiny Volvo posted in this thread.

lmao, you want to crap on geely for having optimistic range claims and then in the same post you tell us you prefer tesla?
someone clearly has no real experience in a tesla.
I'm a MY owner. everyone tesla owner knows that tesla's numbers are very, very, VERY optimistic.
porsche EVs on the other hand are much more closer to their claimed mileage.
Exactly this. Some telsa owners/shills have telsa stock, and are emotionally involved.Tesla can be a solid vehicle, but the last person to listen to is someone who has stock in tesla or is not objective. Reddit has some good tesla owner forums that give actual owners reviews (i like it, but it is just OK). Porsche EVs are absolutely fantastic, and the newer Kias are great (the dealers not so much). At this point people are either better off waiting until a lot of new tech drops (batteries etc) or buying the porsche EVs which are amazing.

People trust in the brand of Tesla, and Elon leading it.
Elon leading Tesla is exactly why I haven't bought a Tesla. That insecure prick is the embodiment of the saying "money can't buy class." I'd be happy to take the risk on the build quality if it didn't mean giving money directly to that racist, sexist, bloviating asshat. And tbh if he wasn't there I imagine the build quality would be better.

I'm just excited that they're desperate enough for cash that they've licensed out their biggest advantage - the charge plug standard and charging network. If I can keep treading water with my current crappy ICE car, I'll wait long enough for a Ford or GM with the Tesla charging platform.
