Genuine leather is the lowest quality leather you can buy. If it's not full-grain, skip it. Hate to say it but even some so-called "vegan" leather would probably outlast it.
"genuine" = "garbage". It is going to be poorly tanned, low quality leather, mostly created/stitched together from small patches. Don't buy this for the leather.
As for utility, I think at $15, this will be a reasonable piece. Adjust your expectations, and this is a good deal.

Anyone who trust that a $15 good sized bag is genuine leather is naive. You can't even have a decent men's wallet that's genuine leather for that price point.
No one in this thread seems to know what "genuine leather" means. Genuine leather doesn't mean it's "genuinely leather", it's a grade of leather, and the lowest one.
