Who cares because most people don't live close enough to a Microcenter for their deals to matter. Those Microcenter prices might as well be fairy tales. Slickdeals needs a separate Microcenter deals page so the rest of us can stick to deals that are actually obtainable.

What are you talking about? Have you ever looked at a map of their coverage?

They ONLY have 25 stores, oftentimes even doubling up in the same major city like the two in Atlanta, when I was lucky enough to live there, or Chicago. Most of them are only in the NE and upper Midwest.

There's not any in New Orleans and absolutely zero in all of Florida. The closest ones are about seven hours away, and it's like that for at least 2/3 of the nation, if not more.

Just nonsense. 100mm people might live within 100 miles of a Microcenter, that hardly means 100mm people are covered by them. If you have to drive a couple hours to get it, it's not really a deal.

Stick to the merits of the deal? What merits if it's not available? You mean merits like it being an actual feasibly obtainable deal, which Microcenter deals are not for most people? You sound awfully touchy and defensive about someone pointing out the FACT that Microcenter deals may as well not exist for most of us. A deal that is available is not possibly inferior to a deal that is not available. Your comment is simply not logical.

isn't microcenter bundle 350 + 16gb free RAM?
Yes. It's probably a worse deal for 90%+ out there. The only reason why someone would choose this is if they are considering higher end boards and brand preference for ASUS. For me I was eyeing this specific board or the Z690-E variant but this had a decent price for the combo while the -E has no deals.
IMO, MSI has crappy bios and their rgb software is not great when trying to link up all components/parts. ASUS has really good tools for that and this board looks way nicer. I plan to have a set up where you can see into my case (NZXT H710i) so I am being a bit wasteful. I am paying extra for aesthetics which is why I said it's a bad deal for 90%+.

Yup, not enough stores, always use to shop locally at CompUSA for the good deals.

Would love to filter off *all* "in-store" deals, period, but I don't think it's an option.

Good point, Microcenter's deal if not 20% or deeper discount comparing to mainstream online shops then it's not worth mentioning. Even that is when the location within a hour driving. For many who're not in the 50 miles radius of MC location the "deal" of MC is completely irrelevant.

What's brilliant of Micro center after all, is their price decision making team who's on par with Costco's, sharp and up to date which is why often time they're willing to cut deep discount and stay one step ahead of the market. You got to give them for that for much better informed and not being stupid.

Stop whining. Most people care about the Microcenter deals. They have 25 stores covering over 100M in population, which is a lot more than many BS deals posted here which have limited availability.

Stick to the merits of the deal and stop complaining.

This is indeed inferior to the MS deal.

Damn we have made it two days without someone posting about Newegg being Chinese and ASUS being evil because one YouTuber said so.

So does the ASUS board worth an additional $50?

100mm ~= 4 inches. Those are some really really small people. No wonder they shop at microcenter

Care to share that deal? That deal rivals the MC deal with the exception of the MSI board vs the Asus but you do get 32GB of ram.

Also looks like the MC deal is no longer active.

It's showing up as 729.97 [microcenter.com]

The Z690 Tomahawk is a much better deal. You don't get anything spectacular from base like ROG Strix other than badge and some stickers. The Tomahawk has a tad better VRM I think one more phase for iGPU
