Well. The pokemon company knows they're fulfilling pallets worth of Pokemon cards to a warehouse seller. This floods the market with cards, therefore potentially devaluing the rare cards (which have a specific number of "max prints". To make up for this flooding of Pokemon cards on certain sets, they "water down" the cards that Costco sells. Although unethical, it is not illegal because the card pulls are at the sole discretion of the pokemon company. I just make all of that up, I'm super stoned and just randomly thought of it. It took me like 40 minutes to write this because I'm typing so slow. I wonder if there are any typos but I'm too lazy to read my comment over since it will take me another 40 minutes.
I got this at the time. I recall 3 V cards in all 10 packs. Valuable or not, I have no idea. I used the experience to teach the kid about gambling whenever he opened a dud pack. From a parenting point of view, I think it's a good gift. You can open a pack a day or for good behavior or something. Also, cards don't take up much space. I appreciate that. Small amount of reading to do with each card. My kid is 6 so any reading is good reading.
Coins were all the same.
Tins are actually a good size for storage of random small things.
To sum up, I think we got more entertainment value from this than from an equivalently prices Lego set.

Same here even though I'm aware it's not indicative of the pull rate as a whole, just awful luck
