For anyone who has this, does it make any noticeable difference between the single headphone jack or the balance xlr when using Sennheiser hd6xx?

I personally can hear difference, but not everyone will. Depends on your ability to hear fine details.

I have a focusrite solo. Am I correct in assuming that this DAC will only take digital input from a PC/MAC etc and convert to Analog right ? Not meant to record in a DAW like Ableton or LogicPro, Garageband ?

Right, it doesn't have an ADC to convert analog to digital to go into a DAW like a scarlett does, that front plug is a 4 pin balanced, not a mic XLR input (which it looks like, until you look closely at it and see the extra pin).

I FINALLY got checked out with one of these, and the Monoprice acoustic guitar amplifier which ended up costing me like $56 shipped I think, cheapest it has been? The only way I could complete checkout was with Paypal this time, all of the previous times I was able to use a charge card directly, and never hit the login loop that I have been hearing about.

Note, they charge shipping on this not because of the coupon, but because it is open box. Every other thing I have ordered on these crazy monoprice sales with these coupons has been new, and everything has been free shipping, and I have mostly ordered guitars which are big ass boxes, way bigger than this desktop DAC/AMP.

Monoprice shipping department is gonna be busy AF for the next week or three...

luk350 has the right answer. I've tried to hear the difference on senn 600, 650, 8xx and I just can't. But my ears are 50+ years old too, so younger ears might hear a difference.

I've been watching ebay for used deals on this unit because it's by far my favorite headphone DAC/amp. It's possible that more might show up if someone opens a warehouse someplace and finds a big pile of them or something, but it's probably gone for good. Sorry man.

Right, it was spark about that time for stuff back in stock. I was able to buy Monolith Monoprice M1570 headphones that i missed by not disabling privacy extension in my browser.

While it has similar hardware under the hood, you will be missed parametric EQ and Dirac.
I would say it's personal choice, but for that sale price it's no brainer buy.
