I wish this had ai cores in it otherwise I would totally do it.
Whenever the 7700 xt comes out that will be the one that will have the ai stuff in it. It'll be interesting to see how the 6700 will compare to that one
I haven't used AMD for a while and I might be in the market for a new card.
What is the current state of AMD vs NVidia? Have they caught up in the driver stability department? Is there an major functionality I'd be missing with AMD with something like this?
I have a GTX 1080 but it may have died. Still trying to troubleshoot it and decide if I need to give up.

I switched from 1660 Super to a 6600 with no issues on my end. It was handling Last of Us at launch without any problems.

Please watch the Ancient Gameplays on YouTube cause I'm not expert but watching him first before you buy will be a better for you to decide for your next upgrade
Good luck bro 👍

It's very close now maybe a bit behind in stability but I think the AMD software is much more user friendly with better features.

I was in your shoes back in 2022 or so. GTX 1080 purchased in 2016 died for some unknown reason after finishing CP2077. Ended up getting a 6750 XT because it was on sale for $330 on Amazon and got a gift card for Bday.
As long as you can get either this card or the 6750 XT for this price and are ok with not being able to do 4k or RT then its a good deal until you are ready to push to 4k60.

AMD wins the value proposition. Frames per dollar isn't even close these days. Nvidia wins in terms of advanced features (AI/ ray tracing) and power efficiency (frames per watt). Drivers are about the same these days.
I actually just watched a video this morning comparing this card to the new 4060. The 6700xt won outright and was a $100 cheaper. Down side is it's bigger and hotter than the Nvidia card.

Wonder if anyone has done the math on how much you'd have to run the 4060 to eventually save money via power consumption lol.
Wattage difference is 110 watts.
My cost per kWh is 0.15 near Philly, so if you're outside the US in EU for example it's not uncommon to be more like £0.50.
Assuming 3 hours a day on average (gaming, or you in use, not total pc ON time), the price difference is $18/year.
At current prices, 4060ti $380 and 6700 xt $310 it would take approximately 4years for me for the 4060ti to actually be cheaper.
If your pricing and usage is similar to mine, and you plan on keeping the GPU for ~2 years then the cost difference is only $34 so if ray tracing or the AI are appealing to you then it's not a bad deal. But the VRAM is still a concern, they really should have made is 12gb to start...
