Now as for their support, I've had decent success talking with them on several purchases and returns. I have also delt with Dell support, and it was a lot harder to get any response and real person. Lenovo chat support was pretty helpful.

I doubt anyone shopping for this is shopping it against desktops.

People is disappointed with Nivida on the 40xx low-mid range card release in general though.
The 300 nits almost held me back, but realized I never used my previous laptop over 30-40% brightness. Hard not to feel fomo but def. do not need to pay another 100$+ for a feature I can live without.

p.s. Marvelous CPU, great price. I wish there was a laptop like this but with open-source/unlocked BIOS/EFI to run an OS without adware that hijacks HTTPS connections (I still remember Superfish [arstechnica.com])
Maybe you'll get locked 60fps with a combination of medium/low settings? I'd say wait till it comes out and then purchase something. Laptop deals are dime a dozen all year round anyway.
Side note - the 7745hx is an impressive cpu going up and up with the desktop competitors so it won't be holding you back.

Though might have to wait or look for another as it might not have USB 4, not that big of a deal, but would definitely like to have that particular option available.
