Hated the Hexclad pan I had. Gordon Ramsey has officially jumped the shark like Emeril did. Promoting things for cash, not because they are a quality product.

please please please do not buy a hexclad pan- they do not last. after a very short amount of use, the surface will damage just like a regular nonstick would; and the stainless bits will stick just like a stainless pan will if not oiled correctly.

buy a nonstick instead and keep it at medium heat or below while using nonmarring tools; or buy a stainless pan and learn to use it (always use oil to prevent sticking; heat until water drops dance on the surface- exploding means it's too hot, forming a bubbly puddle means it's not hot enough).

Supporting what these people said, I bought them before reading up on them, and if you are competent in the kitchen at all, you will realize how terrible these are within minutes of using them. Instead of the best of both worlds, it is the worst of both. Everything sticks, but you still have bits of nonstick peeling up all the time and having to be careful with it. In fact, I feel like a lot of my stainless steel does a better job with not stick or burning sauces than my Hexclad did. Returned it after three miserable months trying to make it work and have been so happy I did.

People want so badly for nonstick pans to last forever. Ultimately Teflon is Teflon and none of these brands have some technological secret sauce. Sure, some are better made than others, but if you demand nonstick over stainless and/or cast iron, you just have to plan on replacing them from time to time no matter what brand you get or how much you spend.

Bought my hexclad wok directly through hexclad site and regretted the decision ever since. Like others, I tried to make it work but it just sticks and now I just avoid using it altogether. Waste of my $150+. Don't believe the hype, stay away.

There is simply no such thing as a high-end, long-lasting non-stick pan. It's the biggest lie in cookware that people keep falling for. Sure they'll sell you a $100 nonstick but it's coating will wear off as quickly as the $20 one from walmart. Nonstick coating is plastic, and that plastic wears much faster than metal. Just give in and buy a new low-end nonstick from a restaurant store every other year and you'll have a much better experience. THere's nothing as good as cooking on a new nonstick and few things as disappointing as trying to cook on a worn out one.

DO NOT BUY HEXCLAD. It's bad at being non-stick and also bad at being a stainless steel pan. Their warranty is dubious and only covers manufacturing defects.

In addition to your valuable comments please remember to downvote the post as "not a good product". It's widely known these are way overpriced and low quality.

MadeIn pans are non-toxic and non-stick. They are very high quality, easy to use and clean.
I have two of them and they are easily the best pans I have ever owned.

I hated it when i first got them because I couldn't figure out how to use them. After about 6 months of seasoning, i love the pans. It's a good step up from non-stick because these are way more durable. A bit heavy, small learning curve but way more durable and mine are all basically non stick now even though i stopped seasoning as regularly. I abuse them in the dishwasher and clean using a wirebrush once in a while to get that shine back. Every one else seems to hate them for the first few months of use, but it seems to get better over time.

I recently got some all clad copper core, I feel like im back to square 1. Very steep learning curve. But they heat up SUPER fast. hopefully i can get these working well soon as well, I was going to move away from hexclad and get the set of all clad copper core but it seems i'm still a bit better with the hex clad at the moment.

Never got another non stick ever since, they are easy to use but i feel like im replacing them every 3 or 4 months because the coating comes off and they start to stick. can't really go back from that. I cook a lot with high heat because i like my steaks seared hard on the outside and medium rare to rare in the inside. I do have cast irons as well but they are so damn heavy and a pain to maintain.

also.. i do not think these are over priced at all.. once i got the hang of it. they are way cheaper than other low maintenance, fast heating, high temperature, long lasting, durable pan out there. $350 is the price of 1 or 2 good pans so for a set is very good IMO...

I have this set from 2019 and we love it. Just bought the 6 piece pots today for 299 from the roadshow. If you use them correctly, they will last forever. You can scrub them with abrasive pads and they don't scratch. I am surprised there's so much hate for them on here. But like the previous comment, it takes time to figure them out and they season over time. We use olive oil for almost everything and no issues with sticking. I bought the allclad set from Costco when it was on sale before the hex and couldn't make them work. Had everything stick. Definitely user error. They also have a learning curve. The hex are much easier to use in my experience.

I have used All-Clad for 20 year but hated the nonstick pans. I still have many stainless pans by them but the HexClad is amazing. Cooked in commercial kitchens for decades and I think these are great nonstick. As others said, no nonstick pan lasts forever but using nonmetal utensils helps as well as medium heat helps them last longer. These Hexclad heat so well, I cannot use high heat!
This is a good price too. Just got a set to replace my all clad nonstick I had remaining.

So what's the best and suggested way to use these if one were to get them?

Avoid hexaclad like the plague. It's overpriced and the worst of both worlds. Get a proper stainless steel pan, use oil, and deglaze. Ez
