Warning. This is a time sink. You will die a lot. You will very slowly get more powerful attempting to escape the underworld. You will very slowly get to know the lore . you will figure out a way to persuade yourself to play one more time. You will love every minute of it.
Without exaggeration, this is one of the best video games of all time.
Hades, Bastion, and Transistor are all fantastic games. Highly recommend each one

Hades is one of my favorite games I played this past year and is well worth the price. It's a different style of game from what I would usually play but really enjoy playing it when I just want a temporary break from my main fill at the time. I have it on PS5 but I'd think it runs well on the Switch too as it's not a really graphic intensive game. That's not to say the graphics and design arent beautiful because they are. I find them pretty memorable actually. But yeah, I'd highly recommend Hades at this price.

Incredible game that would be perfect for an "on the go" Switch title, but the ergonomics of playing any button-mashy game in handheld mode is just murder on my hands. I don't think I would last 15 minutes in this game in handheld before my hands started to cramp. I'm legit jealous of people who don't have this problem.

Otherwise, this would be an automatic buy for me even though I already own it on PS5.

Bought it for PC and glad I did. To finish the story, you have to beat it like a billion times lol.. Cheat engine ftw.

Finished it when it was free on Xbox about a year ago. Fun game. I think it took me about 20 plays to get to the end the first time. Easy once you get the boss patterns down though.

I bought at $16ish. It's not my kind of game typically, but I love this game. I don't regret buying at the higher price. Get it!

Wow. I am a huge Diablo fan so I tried this and found it so boring. Maybe I need to revisit after reading all these glowing reviews.
This is a roguelike game, for those people who don't know, it's a genre created after the original Rogue game that offers similarities such as perma-death, randomized drops, proceedurally generated levels, etc. It's meant to be played through repeatedly, and is great for those gamers who like to unlock stuff. The more you play, the more you die, the more stuff you get a chance to use to upgrade, the more you get the hang of the action. In Hades, each run through unlocks more of the lore/abilities with beautiful graphics and incredible voice acting. The story is amazing, the combat is great, and you can complete a run in 45-ish minutes. It's a unique game if you've never played a roguelike, but it's the one that has turned a bunch of new gamers onto the genre. Hades and Dead Cells are the two "big" names in the genre, but there are so many more: Binding of Isaac, Slay the Spire, Cult of the Lamb, Gunfire Reborn, Enter the Gungeon, Curse of the Dead Gods, Have a Nice Death, and my guilty pleasure lately, Crab Champions.

I've played a lot of games on PC, Switch, etc, over the last 30 years and this actually became one of my favorite games of all time. Strong points are the story, gameplay mechanics, and music. They just found a way to make it very enjoyable to continue playing the game over and over again.
