I saw a post for the premium edition being 20% off, but the standard edition is also 20% off.
Pre-Order. Releases September 6, 2023.
There is a recent starfield direct that just got published that shows off the game more.

The game is Game Pass eligible as well.
I had to login to see pricing, and be a tier level of gmg xp (not sure if bronze or silver), but I am silver tier.
Mods, feel free to fold this post in with other post if you choose.

For $55, I took the dive.
Pre-ordering is already bad, but when we have the option of paying 1/4 and that same 1/4 comes with the rest of GP library......it's a no brainer. Well I guess ppl that pre-order........

But some folks don't want extra subscriptions or like to "own" their games/music/movies etc. Also, like other Bethesda games, this game could theoretically be enjoyed for months, and hundreds of hours.
I call out the game pass eligibility in the post. So this deal isn't for those folks.
Will it be buggy? Yes, yes it will. It's a Bethesda game, they were all buggy at release. But it's single player so it won't bother me as much.

So for most games, if you're not already a GP subscriber, yeah grabbing a month or two of GP makes a lot of sense for a single game.
The big Bethesda RPGs though tend to be games people play for many many months (or years)- with hundreds of hours of gameplay invested.
So if you otherwise wouldn't be a GP subscriber buying DOES make sense here.
Doesn't if you otherwise are though of course.

"I played Starfield on Day 1" should probably be making the rounds on t-shirts.
