Must be the best price on this since Black Friday 2022
Yea Target was selling it for $250 off on 11/27/22 and again for a day in December. Disappointing they didn't match that previous sale with M2 models being out for a while now.
For the purpose of leisure, browsing and games for kids, this Vs standard ipad 9th gen 256gb (on sale as well for 400) vs iPad 10th gen 256gb for 550?
For those uses, the vast majority of people would be happy with iPad 9th gen rather than pay 50% more for the Pro. For $50 more, I would pick the Pro over the iPad 10th gen for the 120 Hz screen alone. Other reasons to go Pro include photography/video shooting and audio quality (4 speakers w/ Pro).
Just throwing this out there. If you have a kid in college, you can get the M2 for $649-ish. It's $749 in the Education store and then $100 back to school gift card.

There is the iPad Air also, priced between the iPad and the iPad Pro with added features over the iPad. Currently $499 at Target[target.com] ($100 off).

For those purposes I would just go with either the regular iPad or iPad Air. I just got the M2 Pro for $599 from the AAFES sale and that's honestly overkill considering what I currently use my 2nd gen Pro (2017) for.

The battery life however is very mediocre.
Not "top off in the afternoon" bad, but still quite underwhelming.
