What's weird is this same 3 piece set is 15 on Amazon. I wonder if these have small defects or something that would prevent Taylor from selling at full price.

Taylor thermometers have been the standard for chefs for decades. I have three and have been using them for the past 30 years. They are not instant read but 3 to 4 seconds as you watch the needle move across the face. Fast enough for me and accurate.
