The 'newer' Genesis models are made in China. Most of these Genesis II models were made in USA.

If you examine a Genesis II vs. those 'newer' models, it's quite obvious the newer models are inferior.

BTW, I think this deal expires on Sunday, May 26... according to Costco magazine promo.

FYI, the Genesis II is the old model not the newer model where the propane is stored inside the cabinet, along with some other differences.

Purchased an E335 last weekend, was $799 in store.

Assembly wasn't too bad but removing and reinstalling the lid absolutely sucked definitely need 2 people to do that. Besides that there were a couple of non visible spots with no/flaking powder coating. I sprayed them with some high temp enamel paint just to make sure it wouldn't rust over time.

Initial impression is that it's very good quality, but time will tell. I also like having the tank externally accessible, super easy to install and remove, but it doesn't look the prettiest.

My local Costco had the 3 burner in store at 699 last weekend. I have a 3 burner one generation older I got on CL for a steal and refurbished myself.

Miles above the $300 grills in my past, widely available parts, and the stainless grates are a godsend. I'm a Genesis convert. Money well spent.

What additional accessories are needed for the conversion?

These are much cheaper over time even at these prices. It'll easily last more than 3x as long as $300 grills with an occasional cleaning and a couple of parts replacements at worst.

What parts are needed? I thought new burners and regulators are required?

I converted mine to NG. All you need is new orifices and regulator, plus fittings and pipe. I got everything needed in a kit for about 100 bucks a couple of years ago I guess. You will definitely void your warranty doing the conversion. I have a feeling that the grill does not get as hot as propane but still worth the convenience.

Can somebody tell me the dimensions of the E335 box? Trying to figure out if it'll fit in my vehicle.

Thanks

Thanks.

I was in Costco yesterday when I saw the grill and they had like a pile left. I went home to think about it and decided today to go buy it. When I walked in today there were 2 left. By the time I went to pull a cart someone had bought one. So I ended up buying the last one. These things seem to be selling quickly.

Is the stainless worth the extra?
