How is this a deal? CK2 has been free to play for almost a decade.

I've played CK3 a good bit and a lot of Stellaris as well. I don't have any DLC for either and enjoyed them both. The one thing I found frustrating about Stellaris was that the AI sometimes used DLC content against me.

Is this even playable without the dlc. I gave up at some point towards the middle of the games life and there was like 25 dlc's at least at that point that changed the game so much you wouldn't recognize the game without it.

Typical Paradox game with a bazillion DLC's they nickel and dime you for, almost as bad if not worse than the Sims, I'll take it for free but that's about as far as I'm supporting that company.

Yeah, this is a free to play game, and so are the DLC which are just a couple of songs and a couple of pictures. This isn't a deal, it's been free for years, lol.
