I used to buy crucial SATA drives like this because if you shopped carefully you could find an MLC NAND (2-bit nand cells, not 3-bit or 4-bit lower quality stuff like this drive today.) The only reason to buy SATA drives now is because all your PCIe slots are filled up. You can get a $240 PCIe drive with 4TB and it will be 8x faster. Well worth the extra $30. If all you're doing is storing games you can get the Crucial P3 Plus for $230 (warranty is a little thin) or get a TeamGroup MP44 for $250-$270. Team group drives are labeled as "PCIe generation - PCI bus width" so MP34 is a gen3 x4 drive. MP44 is gen4 x 4, MP54 is gen5 x 4 etc.
