Since I just published a deal the 3060 ti reference card, I figured I should also do a 4060 ti for someone that wanted this card instead.

Waste of sand. Grab the 3060Ti for $333 [newegg.com] on Newegg. Basically the same performance.

As others have said please do not support this nonsense from Nvidia. Purchase a 3000 series card for less on eBay or from a retailer.

Those were "uncertain" times, though. Hopefully it was a "zero-contact" delivery and they followed all local and cdc safety guidelines when they shipped it to you.

In all seriousness, that was all the crypto miners getting pallets from AIB's for their farms that made them scarce.

I like the power efficiency of this card, but the price is completely nuts

LOL.
People say boycott NVIDIA but its share price hit all time high.
Nvidia does not give a damn about plebian's boycotting.

next month the 4060TI 16GB comes out, i hear its going to be 500$.
And it's completely worthless with 200 gbs and 128 bit memory bus.

The 4060ti performs badly on games that are not vram limited already.

Stupid for so many reasons please don't buy it 🤷.

How anyone could buy that over a 6800 XT or a used 3080 is just beyond me.

For someone upgrading from an older GPU before the 3000 series one would think the 4060 ti with 16gb vram be a good investment next month, so far tests have shown it to outperform the 3060 ti in many games, plus use of DLSS 3 sounds good while also outside of gaming AV1 support, 16gb vram for rendering, and lower energy usage seems good to me.

Beating the 3060ti is not a selling point... It's the bare minimum

At least it is under the MSRP. Hopefully we will see this happen with the 16GB version when it comes out.

As long as the benchmarks aren't abnormally low I'll probably buy the 4060ti 16GB. Buying an 8GB card, no matter how good right now, just seems like you're begging for a mandatory upgrade within 2 years time, especially as devs lean more on hardware instead of optimization. I'm content with 1080p gaming so I reckon the 4060ti 16GB will have me set for a few years.

To all the people hating, the "test" on proper pricing is: did the price of comparable performance cards from the prior generation drop when this came out. The answer is yes!

If we had real competition for consumer video cards, we'd get much more aggressive pricing... but that isn't the case. Neither AMD nor Nvidia really care about this market.

If you can find a new 3080 or 6800 for the same price, then buy that instead. 3070 Ti or 6700 XT need to be cheaper, IMO.

I wouldn't pay much more for a 16GB model either, since by the time you "need" more than 8GB, you'll be wanting more processing power and speed.

Poor value for the performance increase or lack thereof you get compared to its predecessor.
