LOL. There is nothing eco friendly about running an inefficient portable AC. Mini Split>U Shape Window AC>Normal Window AC>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Portable AC. You'll save yourself a lot of money by going with a mini split unit and deals are posted almost same price regularly.

No idea about the whynter posted here but I did get the Toshiba and it's very nice especially for $350. App has been working very well and wasn't hard to set up. I went with the MSmartHome app rather than the Toshiba app.

Bought the 11k BTU model and ran it daily for 2+ years. Was used to cool my bedroom in Florida heat with a window setup that didn't allow a window unit. I'd recommend as a portable AC but if there is anyway you can get a window unit instead the difference in both cooling and efficiency is vast.
