13 has been around a good while and is well known in the fishing community.

Fishing is an N+1 hobby for most of the folks in the market for an $80 rod, but even with the $40 shipping a single rod is still discounted 25% under retail. Not /amazing/ but solid.

Two rods and a lure or random accessory, or three rods, and you're still 25% under the retail price of a single rod. That's pretty good!

13 Fishing has been around for at least a decade. Rapala owns them now. They sponsor Gerald Swindle, Brian Latimer, and others. They're an MLF partner. They're sold on Tackle Warehouse and everywhere else. It's not KastKing or Piscifun.

Nice deal but not sure on the free shipping. I added 3 rods to my cart ($60) and there's still a shipping charge. Is there a coupon code?

You may need to make an account (and select 'ground' instead of '2-day' shipping), but some friends and I received free shipping over $50 with no additional coupons or effort required.

Compared with an Ugly Stik, they're very sensitive. Compared with an NRX, they're not.

My favorite budget rod is the Daiwa Aird-X (at the $50 price point), but those can be hard to come by depending on your location. For less than $75, you won't do much better than this, and for $20 it's an absolute steal.

I'd recommend them for someone starting to take bass fishing seriously, someone looking for extras for friends or guiding, or anyone who just wants some solid back-up rods in general purpose powers and actions.
