For those about to comment on how disgusting this stuff is with it's anti-caking sawdust, hear me out:

Get this stuff for one reason..the best Alfredo ever. When you make your roux you mix half flour and half of the crappy parmesan, slowly whisking both in. It toasts the parmesan and adds an amazing flavor, and it's a hit every time.

If you tell my mother I shared this you'll be sleeping with the fishes, or maybe I will.

If you have a Sam's Club membership, it's not a smoking deal, 8 oz at $2.89 w/S&S. It's OK for the 8 oz container. The everyday price at Sam's for a 24 oz container is $8.48 ($2.83 for 8 oz).

Good catch, I thought this was straight Parmesan. Romano is more sharp/pungent. I love Romano cheese, but I love all stinky cheese. I have to admit, I haven't had this Kraft Parmesan-Romano in a long time, so I don't really have an opinion of it. It was good as far as I remember. For spaghetti, we usually just buy the Kraft Parmesan at Sam's, but my personal favorite is BelGioioso All Natural Shaved Salad Blend (1.75 lbs.) $9.44 ($5.39/lb). This stuff is awesome if you like a stronger hard cheese. I use it like Frank's hot sauce and put it on everything. I've tested this exact cheese blend head to head against hand grated, high end, atisinal parmesan. There are some uses where the flavor notes of the food work better with the more expensive stuff, but for spaghetti, pizza, sprinking on lentil stew, etc. the difference is smaller than you might think, and in some cases the more concentrated flavor punch of the Kraft stuff is preferable.
