Wish this was on amazon so i could utilize my chase flex card 💳
I connected my Flex to Amazon and Woot gave me the option to pay with Amazon, not sure I will get the 5X, I think Woot and Amazon are the same co. now. Could be wrong on all of it but my charge was AMZ**Woot LLC

5X doesn't apply for Woot purchase. I tried before.

I kind of want to get this, but I checked Amazon reviews and I'm afraid that I'll get a broken product.

I'm a camo guy. Lost 50lb already this year on the sport s. Got one of these in camo for my beach house. I think the bike itself is ugly but it's not a T-shirt, it's a bike nobody but you will see.
Well, that isn't exactly true. Got a camo model, set it up in the basement, and now no one can find it. NOBODY can see it Frown.

Anyone got a good mat to recommend for hardwood floors for this bike?

I'm ex-military and wore camo for many years. lol Yeah, the camo wouldn't look great in my home, but the generalization is not really necessary. People wear camo for all kinds of reasons. Oh by the way, we military camo folks were involved in a lot of fitness. lol
But we are indeed talking about a camo bike in the home and you agreed. These are cheaper because of the point mentioned. Nobody wanted them. Anything outside of that is irrelevant. And thank you for your service.

With all the screens, better seats, and all that on more expensive models, I'd still avoid them and go with simpler ones. Main reason: mechanically adjustable resistance vs electronically one. Nothing to break with the mechanical one, and the bike works even not powered/connected. Electronically adjustable resistance on more expensive models is prone to malfunction often (check complaints online), specifically the operating block. And in such case requires that block exchanged. Besides the bike is operational only when connected to power.
So, I would choose a simpler one. My Sport one/WM edition has been going strong for 3 years so far.

Auto resistance is a different story. Again, I'd avoid for the reasons above. Besides, the EX5s doesn't have auto resistance anyway, but resistance is electronically adjusted.
Why get a bike at all when you can simply run around the block with a backpack full of rocks. Super reliable.

If you are young and not overweight, and very motivated to run with extra weights (like the Army rangers), sure. lol. Biking is easier on the hips, knees, etc.., particularly for older folks. You can burn more calories on a bike compared to walking as well. When one gets old enough, they start to realize why older folks change their fitness routines.

You missed the point, but otherwise, sure, if running with a bag of rocks is the same to you.

Been looking at these anyway but didn't pull the trigger because of prices and not sure if I'd use a bike much as we already have a nice elliptical and treadmill. I went redneck and saved some cash!
You nailed it here. I got the 'sport' with 8" screen at walmart several months back for $400 and thought I got a pretty good deal. This is a better bike with a better screen for $80 less.... shake head

Any opinions on GT+ vs EX3? I think I rather just use a tablet and whatever app I want rather than deal with messing with their locked down screen.

Gotta love all the city people hating on the camo.
Remember, these are the same people living in a smog zone without a tree in sight, telling the "redneck camo people" who live on a farm with hay bales and cows that they are destroying the ozone/environment.

Personally I would rather wear camo, know how to grow things and hunt than be a self important office snob whose life aspirations are owning an Audi and looking down on everyone else.

I purchased the camo one.. nobody is going to see it but me and it's the same bike for way less. thanks for posting!
You know, there are people who work at the office, own an Audi and enjoy growing things and hunting, while wearing their favorite camo outfits. You really need to stop making stupid assumptions and paint everything so black and white.

Same goes for those of you who claim that camo is for the rednecks, fat people etc. You all are just jealous because you couldn't pull off the look ;-)

Google "unlock echelon *bike-model* screen/tablet." You'll likely find a post on Reddit or echelon forums, that will link you to the XDA developers forum. There you'll find out how, if someone's done the work. Good odds someone has though.

I think echelon added support for some of those apps on the tablet, without figuring out a work around.
22" is nice to have, but I'm having to mod a device is bit of work for people not computer literate, and generally a hassle to work with. I personally would prefer to have a mount that I can mount a tablet. Based on my reading, play store is not available, and apps are side-loaded? That's not the kind of experience I want to get into. Much simpler to mount my tablet that I can freely install apps through the app store, etc.. instead of playing with unlocking, side-loading, etc..

The EX3 is probably your best bet then

The reviews I saw for the EX5s said that a lot of the functionality of the bike is incorporated into the touchscreen and only works if you're using the subscription. I'm sure there might be ways to hack into it but it's something I'd rather not deal with. That's why I bought the GT+ so I could use my iPhone and/or iPad and not deal with subscriptions even though I was really tempted to buy the EX5s with the 22" touchscreen! Here's a review for the EX5s
