Couldn't decide between the GT+ for $280 or EX5s mossy oak for $320 but after watching some Youtube reviews I ended up buying the GT+. If you don't mind paying $35/month ($400/year) for the membership then the EX5s with the 22" monitor is an absolute steal! Personally I'd rather just connect my iPad via bluetooth to display the metrics in the Echelon app for free or use whatever fitness app I want. Here's a review of the GT+ for those interested

Google "unlock echelon *bike-model* screen/tablet." You'll likely find a post on Reddit or echelon forums, that will link you to the XDA developers forum. There you'll find out how, if someone's done the work. Good odds someone has though.

I think echelon added support for some of those apps on the tablet, without figuring out a work around.

Yeah I'm not terribly worried about them charging more, I just don't want them to also run out of black bikes before I get one! Or like, for them to swap in the black EX5-S with the 10" screen instead.

I guess we will see, I'm just paranoid lol.

Even if you get the one with a 10" screen, that's still a $1199 bike on the Echelon website. I rather have that then my order being cancelled at this point. Of course, first option would be the black EX5s-22 but I would gladly take the 10" as well.

Yes. Mine says preparing for shipment. I got the email today and sent a response to [email protected] saying I would like the EX5s w/ 22" Screen in black as a replacement.

No response or update yet since I responded to them. Just kind of waiting to see what happens 😅

Like others here, I also received the email from Woot Re: them running out of the ex5s in mossy oak. The email I received reads like they'll replace the bike w/ the one in black for the same price as what we paid for the one in mossy oak. I also highly doubt they'll try to send us the ex5s w/ the 10" screen considering the 22" screen is such a prominent feature of the bike. It's also why I, and I'm sure many others, even ordered the bike in the first place.

I responded directly to the email and also reached out to them via the Woot app. I'll report back when I receive a response from Woot.
