Good to see a compressor type unit for a low price. So tired of seeing thermoelectric junk. Thanks OP
Another bonus. Ymmv. On their frontage they have a spread about at upcoming power bank. Within that page there is a sign up to get in line for the pre-order. Doing so netted me a $20 site gift certificate that is about to drive my fridge $20 lower
I bought the 30 quart version on pre order a few weeks ago for $210. It arrived a few days ago and everything is great so far. I've been able to run it off power stations and inverters with no problem, especially using the Eco mode which draws only 35 watts.

I set it to 0 degrees and watched the progress all the way down from 86, which is what it read when I plugged it in. The progress was slow initially but it got there in roughly 20 or 25 minutes.. Maybe less. The recommendation is High mode while car charging and either Low or Medium on other methods. I started on L then switched to M.

Once it reached 0 I opened the lid. It felt freezer cold so I tested with 4 boxes of frozen turkey burgers overnight. There was still plenty of room. I got the item because I want to be able to bring some of my own frozen food on trips, along with purchasing frozen when I'm on the road.

Once it reached 0 degrees the compressor went off. It would cycle back on again once the temperature climbed to 2 or 3 degrees. Once I saw it reach 4 degrees.

I really appreciate that the BougeRV has a memory function. I was switching between various inverters and power stations and never had to reprogram the BougeRV when I turned it back on again.

The only inverter that had a bit of stress was a Ryobi 18v topper. It went fine for a couple of hours but once the BougeRV started making a beeping noise every minute or two I got nervous and turned it off. But it might merely have been the BougeRV sensing that the Ryobi battery was getting low and dropping the voltage.

I tried signing up with 2 different emails but neither received anything (checked spam and trash). Anyone else try this?
Took a day or two for me. It's been going on for about 2 weeks now so hopefully they haven't hit the 1k card used limit

How practical would this be for use as a car camping fridge? I have a 2022 Pacifica Van that I'm gearing up for car camping. Could I run this off of the car's power for a few days? Would I need anything else to power it reliably?
Personally I'd get a power station to run this unless you'll be driving daily. You'll need one for your other devices anyways.

Interestingly the Amazon listing shows shipping June 30 or fastest June 27. https://www.amazon.com/BougeRV-Po...B08G1BBBQW

Hopefully they're legit. They already charged CC.

Re air flow

PDF user manual (orig link on BougeRV site- searched item A3001-02204, look for user manual):
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1...Manual.pdf

…must be well ventilated for heat dissipation and make sure to keep some space around it. (Back Space> 200mm, Side Space> 100mm)

Ext size lwh inches: 22.7*12.6*13.0
200mm - 7.87in, 100mm - 3.94in
I emailed BOUGERV and they gave me a not so specific answer. So I ended up ordering from Amazon so it is easier to return (was slightly more). It fits the sub trunk well, but I feel like it needs better ventilation. I decided to add some spacers for airflow between the sub-trunk opening and sub-trunk cover and mat. Once I did that, I realized, I could also fit the 30L version that holds a gallon of milk standing up (for whatever reason, this is appealing to me). It is on sale on Amazon and BougeRV and will show up tomorrow. I'm going on a road trip through the hot Arizona desert (+100F) over the July 4th weekend. If anyone is interested, I can report back on how it works out.

Also, fyi... there is a 37L unit available from a few sources that is made for the Model Y (where I stole the space idea). I personally prefer one that is rectangular as it will work better in one of my other cars.

Everyone has their own use cases. For me this was appealing since there is no ice to deal with - making stuff wet or freezing fruit etc. Really depends on what you put in it.

Does anyone know if the battery from an EV could be used to power and/or charge these things? I know fridges typically require an expensive pure sine-wave inverter to power them, but since this has a battery I am curious if I could get away with a cheap inverter like the one I already have:

TY in advance! Smilie

Not a bad deal except for the fact I received an email yesterday June 25 and it will not ship until after July 13, 2023. I go on vacation the 14th. I placed my order on the 20th of June. I canceled and I am look for another one.

Just purchased from Amazon for $10.00 more and I will have in 2 days.

I have a Tesla model Y, which one is the 37L? Also, which one do you suggest for sub trunk?

Here is a link to the Tesla specific fridges. It is also available from other sources such as Aliexpress. There are a few reviews on youtube. I get the larger BougeRV fridge today.. so will let you know what I think of the fit.

I purchased a different model that is supposedly in stock and it has been 3 business days now and no shipping at all.
Did anybody purchase from this company before?? I would appreciate some input on how fast they ship their orders??
