A lot of people ARE Costco members, and maybe didn't know about this lower price. Then voila, I helped them save some money. If not... then nbd, they can get them from Office Depot. It's like magic. My comment didn't take away anything from you sharing this info.

So basically three for $13 if you do the recycle. $4.33 each, so you're not saving any money at Costco if you're a true deal maven.

I certainly would never qualify for that deal since toner lasts forever and it will be literal years before I get enough used cartridges on hand.
A niche trade in deal does not justify the hate for another retailer when many people shop there as well. I appreciated the costco price comparison.

where was there 'hate' towards Costco as a retailer, I'm just pointing out that there are valid scenarios where this can be a better deal than Costco. Just because someone throws up the Costco price, saying it's cheaper there...well, that all depends doesn't it? If that is your absolute best price to pay, then by all means do so, but if you want to look outside the box at the possibilities of the ink aspect, then it simply isn't, OR if you are sitting on a mountain of OD rewards that you want to cash in on something useful.

I am looking for the battery deal to happen June 25 to July 1 before I get desperate for this months $10 spend on something other than 100% back in rewards batteries. If that Happens, it will be a double dip week (buy a pack of batteries prior to July 1, and again on the first) for both months spends. If not I am going to have to re think the whole deal. 100% back after rewards might be done? The horror.. The horror.
Need a few dozen of em for my garage, so may as well save a few bucks
