i cannot recommend people stay away from these Logitech controllers enough, terrible dpad, one of the mushiest possible, triggers that fail in a few months, face buttons that fail in under a year, it's cheap, but there's better cheap controllers. the f710 is even worse because it has the same problems but more expensive, plus it's on a band that is full of interference if you have a wifi signal anywhere near it, same button and trigger failures. the sticks on them aren't bad, but i've never had one live long enough to even start to drift. edit: forgot about the deadzone issue, sticks do have huge deadzones.
edit: THEY WERE USING THE F710 TO CONTROL THE SUB? what the hell man, why why why. a vanilla xbone controller lasts so much longer and is so much more reliable.
i just dug through some of my old junk and pulled out an F710. Somehow, the rubber backside has turned all sticky/tacky and appears to have been an absolute magnet for cat hair and dust.
" I have had good results when using talcum powder on sticky rubber and plastic surfaces. This is not a solution that takes away the problem but it may work just enough to make your walky talky usable.
Apply a light dusting and rub it out till you have covered the whole of the sticky area.
Instead of talcum (which often comes with strong perfume or as baby powder with a reasonably strong smell) you can use a very fine ground grain product like rice flour (very fine grounded rice) or corn starch or maize starch. "
People on here are 🤡 they sell a product for sub $15 and the lot of you ask for dpad quality, waterproofing etc. I've had two of these in the past and they're totally acceptable given the price. It gets the job done. Mine lasted 2-3 years if I recall well. Beggars can't be choosers. If you want quality go buy the ps5 controller.
I've had Logitech PC controllers that did fine for thousands of hours of button-mashing
Self-styled "Gamers" will whine and complain to look discerning in the eyes of other "gamers".
It's pathetic.
If any of them were given $10 million to bring a comparable, similarly priced product to the international marketplace, they'd all fail miserably
