I would be possibly interested to use as a monitor but looks like it's not great at that

I was able to score the 55 inch version [amazon.com] for $109.99 last year so I'm hopeful/optimistic I can get this deal as well; thx OP.

Regarding the 55 inch, the colors were terrible and all washed out. No matter what I did, I never could get the picture to be acceptable.

However, when I connected a Fire Stick 4K Max and tried to adjust the picture quality while the TV was in the HDMI input for it, picture quality improved extraordinarily. Once I adjusted the Black Level and White Level via the Screen Test app [amazon.com], I saw a big improvement.

I set the Fire Stick 4k Max Display settings to the following before adjusting the picture settings when using the Screen Test app [amazon.com]….

Color Depth = 12bits

Color Format = YCbCr

Dynamic Range Settings = Always HDR

I mention all this because at first the 55 inch version of this deal made an awful impression and I'm assuming that the 43" version will have the same issues.

IMO you can improve picture quality dramatically by not using the built in FireTV OS of these TVs and using a Fire TV 4k Max stick instead.

I have the older Toshiba model of this TV from best buy that I got for $130 on black Friday. I really like it though it's starting to show its age a bit in menus and whatnot. Wouldn't mind replacing it with this for only $100. Especially considering I could probably sell mine for a few bucks and have a brand new one for less than $100 all in.
Yup it was $130 or $139?? I had the same one from Best Busy BF 2019 and NEVER had any issues with it !! Foolishly, I ended up selling it when I upgraded to a 49" LG 4K last year I scored at WM for $100

Chalk it up to Regrets and mistakes in life Frown

Won a 43" fire TV at a conference last week. Got home and realized I have no place to put it (sans the random in front of the toilet which the wife definitely won't allow). Smh

Truly think the vendor that raffled it (after using it as a display monitor) simply was trying to avoid shipping it back home. Shipping costs more than what it's worth.
Garage or outside/bbq TV if you have a covered area or kitchen wall to follow along with cooking.

No, I just checked. It does not display chroma 4:4:4, meaning the text will be blurry. I'm leaning towards the Hisense A6 43" from BB, that has a RGB subpixel layout as well as chroma 4:4:4.

My mom's TV just went bad. Hisense 43" that lasted only a year. Never going to buy another Hisense.

This deal is amazing but since it's an Amazon product, it doesn't allow casting from iPhones or Apple products. Big negative. I found I use casting quite a bit.

Same "invite" event for a retail price Sony PS5. Never heard back on that one.

Worth rolling the dice.
Who knows what criteria they use for the invites but I did receive one for the PS5. If it matters I have been using Amazon with the same account since early 2000's with (30-40K in purchase....min). I would assume they weigh many factors including $ spent and time registered to make sure scalpers aren't grabbing everything. If you are one of those people with 10 accounts it might harm your chances.*

*This is pure conjecture.

Nice!!! Are these tv's made for outdoor or just regular indoor tv? Looking for buy an outdoor tv for covered deck, any suggestions? The specific outdoor ones are really expensive

I'm a slickdealer so.... definitely indoor TVs that are outside LOL! Best bet is to just get a slickdeal on it and roll the dice for longevity. Finished out our backyard last April and designed it in a way to allow for the 2 TVs completely covered so they can't get wet.
