Regarding the 55 inch, the colors were terrible and all washed out. No matter what I did, I never could get the picture to be acceptable.
However, when I connected a Fire Stick 4K Max and tried to adjust the picture quality while the TV was in the HDMI input for it, picture quality improved extraordinarily. Once I adjusted the Black Level and White Level via the Screen Test app [amazon.com], I saw a big improvement.
I set the Fire Stick 4k Max Display settings to the following before adjusting the picture settings when using the Screen Test app [amazon.com]….
Color Depth = 12bits
Color Format = YCbCr
Dynamic Range Settings = Always HDR
I mention all this because at first the 55 inch version of this deal made an awful impression and I'm assuming that the 43" version will have the same issues.
IMO you can improve picture quality dramatically by not using the built in FireTV OS of these TVs and using a Fire TV 4k Max stick instead.
Last year 55 inch for 10 bucks more

I purchased the 50 inch version in a lightning deal yesterday, it was delivered a few hours ago and the picture is great right out the box

Lot of people talk trash but I went ahead and cancelled all the orders, subscriptions, and prime membership. I will go to target, and costco like a normal person. If I like to go nuts online there is always Temu and I can get room full of stuff for $100.
Fk amazon!!

So, this $99 deal was supposed to be its replacement. I think I paid around $200 for it at Target back then. I'll probably just buy it again.
Na. It really isn't.
A locked-down ecosystem with no options for side-loading or custom modifications of any kind?
No, thank you.

The other day I just found $300 worth of return items that Amazon charged me again for because of their system glitch with ups... Had to call them and verify each item for the past 3 years. Some items says it's on transit after 3 years so they reversed the refund.... Had to go though with rep and spend 2 hours to get everything sorted out.
Go back to your order history, if you see anything that says return in transit, check with Amazon make sure they didn't charge you again
I got the same thing for $80 at Best Buy.
You have no empathy? Is this true?
To some people, having a deal turn to dust, is disappointing. But just SALTY to you.

I see this Amazon SCAM of Invite only, since Amazon never shared how many of these tv's were going to be sold at this price, NEVER told us how they picked people, did they use AI to pick people based on some set of data points (hidden from us). For example, Hugh Corps are encouraged to have inclusion, diversity, etc ... and this is hidden from public. I suggested that LIGHTENING DEAL would have been better to have for this TV, we all see how many tv's are in stock, minute by minute, and we all have chance to buy it , and then it reaches 100 percent SOLD, there is waiting area that people are placed in, and the people that don't CLAIM item in 15 minutes, is then given to those waiting, in order of first come, first served.
This Amazon SCAM, was held for weeks going towards Prime DAY to get maximum PR, and then was dished out very slowly, and made people have to check their email every hour to find out if they were selected!
SCAM, ... and I am angry about this Amazon SCAM! And yeah, it's a cheap 100 dollar tv, but I'm upset about the SCAM! Over 666,000 people have been visiting this 1 thread! I have pity for the poor souls that got hooked by the Amazon SCAM!
Invites should be for "new-products that are prelaunch, so Amazon can get feedback on product, and improve product with beta testing as special pricing. Don't do INVITE for the biggest day on Amazon (prime day).
