interest
In my personal experience, I used Affirm last year and was actually not charged any interest. It may have changed since then, I'm not aware of whether or not it has. However, there's also an Amazon option available without Affirm

Doing first build in decades and wanting something that is fairly updated

I did some googling around and it appears that at least an 800W PSU is recommended for this card. Having a higher wattage PSU would likely give some more breathing room.

I got the FSP Hydro one for $84 750w and it's going in my friend's 7800x3d + 7900 XTX build. I've done like 20+ builds since 2013
7800x3d with a 7900 XTX. I don't have to spend more but I bought this one for $800 + tax

His goal was to future proof and since the vaporx googling... shows it's the fastest and quietest around... It could be worth spending the extra $130 just to get something top of the line with no tweaking sound profile wise or iono. I don't think he'll know the difference really. Decisions decisions! Thoughts? Yeah, 130/900 = 14% more spending for what. I don't think I'm getting a 14% ROI by spending on this card instead so maybe not...
(Yes I'm paying for it upfront for points then he's paying me back in case yall wondering why I'm purchasing it for him lol)

its probably the sleekest 7900 xtx variant but after giving AMD a chance and being sorely disappointed, i ended up going back to nvidia. now everythings running crash free

works great, no driver issues, no BS fixes like messing with BIOS, no underclocking. it just WORKS.
if youre spending $1000+ on a GPU and it doesnt work right out of the box, dump it.
