I have never been impressed with Amazon as a hardware company. Their products might work when you get them, but as the software updates and your hardware does not, I have noticed worse and worse performance, to the point where it becomes unusable. It is always cheap, and it you feel like you get good value in a year or 2 of use, it is OK, but I am not buying another Amazon TV with built in FireStick capability.

TVs are so cheap now. It's literally the one thing going down in price. Meanwhile my grocery bill seems to still go higher and higher haha
Needs vs. Wants situation - people are spending more on what they need so they have less money for what they want, so there's a glut of inventory. Best Buy just needs to break even to clear room for new inventory that could have a higher profit margin. It's usually a sign of a slowing economy. Also, the price is tempting enough that people who don't "need" a new TV will consider buying one.

I ordered through Amazon because the same deal on Best Buy says it's for a 2021 TV. I will screenshot and hold them to the advertised model year.
It's sold by best buy through Amazon. Same TV. I picked up a 55 yesterday.

Is this panel a:
RGB
RGBW
BGR
BGRW (not sure this even exists).

If it's an RGB and does 4:4:4, I'm in. Maybe for two.

Good for the price. Get a multiview device and you can use it as four independent 1080p screen

If it is would we get a price adjustment? I seriously doubt a 50" tv will go lower. The reviews are actually pretty good taking into account the price.
Last year on prime day I got the hisense u6 50" for $140. It didn't last long and I also thought it was a mistake. Great tv.

Honest question, what happens if they send a 2021 vs 2023 model? Would they just offer a free UPS pickup service to return it or how do they handle these things?

Those companies made TV, they had a secret meeting and agreement to jack up the price for LCD/LED TV initially. Since they are very smart to go oversea to transfer technology in order to make TV with cheap labor there to make more profit, the Chinese then can learn and make their own. The Chinese brand TVs probably were the main driver bringing the TV price down. This is just my theory after reading many sources. Wink

These cheap tvs are only meant to last a couple years.
