Doesn't need a dryer vent. This machine has a specific purpose for sure. And this is a great price. My GE direct wholesale price is 1799.10 currently.

Intriguing. Having one machine to do it all on 110v is definitely neat. Having the heat pump move heat is awesome. Those clothes ultimately wind up releasing that energy back to the house instead of venting it outside. The drying energy used is the amount used to move and concentrate that heat when it's needed. I can definitely see a use for this.

From previous research, American branded heat pump units are supposedly unreliable.

The European brands have been doing this longer and have a reliable track record.

One thing about two in one combo units I've learned is... you're going to need a dryer.

I just got a one time Costco coupon code in email for an additional $50 off that stacks with this deal. It's all I needed to pull the trigger.

To all of you speculating, do your research. It is completely, 100% ventless. Heat pump system is sealed. Water is condensed and pumped out. It will also do a regular load of laundry., it's not the small European style.

I've not used this one, so maybe my experience is invalid.

BUT, in my experience, these things work well. You put your clothes in dirty and they come out clean and dry.

The major downside is that the focus is on washing. Drying works, but takes FOREVER.

An entire cycle took like 3 hours to complete.

Actually, 2 in 1 machines are quite popular outside USA. Dryers are not that powerful through but warm weather makes up for it.

How big is your washer? Most normal sized units are about 4.3cuft. Dryers are larger than washing machines (over 7cuft) because they need more cubic feet of space to allow clothes to tumble and dry quickly. Dryers also need to be large enough to allow hot air to circulate. That's likely not needed in this case because the dryer uses a heat pump

so essentially, this is a little bit more than a regular machine
