Now if only they updated their EIGHT year old hub with all it's hardware limitations, Hue would be even easier to recommend.
Everything is voice/motion controlled, and I couldn't be happier. haven't touched a single light switch since the install.
Before I made the decision, I swapped out our bedroom lights from Hue to Lumary in order to make sure I was going to be happy. Once the initial setup is done through the app, they are almost indistinguishable from hue.
Lumary also has a very very large selection of different lights, so if you are just illuminating accent walls, art, etc, they make non intrusive swivel adjustables that allow you to aim them. Their normal downlights also come in different angles.
Super easy to install, and they work off wifi. I have over 100 of them, and so far so good, not a single failure after 7 months. Also, Lumary worked with me on a large bulk purchase right from their website.
