Is there a line boring attachment for the Powermatic? Jet use to have one, but it was discontinued. If there is one, then it expands the functionality to drill shelf peg holes for the 32mm system

I don't believe so. Powermatic makes a dedicated line boring machine but I can't imagine why anyone outside of a commericial woodshop would want one. That's not to say some people here wouldn't buy one if it popped up at 10% off. But I digress...
Comparing to Festool Domino DF500. Which is a good choice for just one shot ?
Domino DF500. I have the Jet version mortiser that someone gave me. It is good for what it is, but the Domino is accurate and very fast. I use the Domino for all tenon type joints now.
I have the delta version. I haven't used it yet in 4 years since I bought a Leigh FMT after learning about it. Still holding on to the press just in case.
I've been doing quality WW for 20 years without this, so I really don't need it, but it is a good buy. I decided to buy it if the stock market was up today... and well it was up.

if it spins a diamond shape bit, seems like that will make a circlular cut??
The square chisel is hollow and doesn't spin. Inside the chisel is a drill bit that breaks the center of the cut and pushes the material up / out. At the same time the chisel slices the remaining material and pushes it towards the bit.
This is not that. The domino is arguably more useful, but it should be since it costs a lot more.
Or was this comment just your way to let someone know that you paid too much for a tool that you don't understand?
No, the Domino is not more useful as it only does one thing, making slots for loose tenons, but it does that one thing very well.
This mortiser can do loose tenons, but will also make through mortices that open up a whole variety of design options for strength of the joint and visual appeal that the Festool can not match.
