(a) other booking sites only if you are not logged into the site (anonymous user) and
(b) only by calling and getting them to find the exact same room and exact same description on their web browser at the time of the call.
Edit: I've had them deny two attempts to price match - one on Booking and one on Agoda - within the past year.
All of the major sites will give you better deals when logged in, whether it's Booking, Agoda, Priceline, etc. I regularly get 10% better than anon on Booking for domestic travel. Travel is 2pts/$ so getting 5pts on Venture or 10 points on Venture X is really only 3pts/8pts better. It's *almost* never worth the time/argument, especially since their CS is useless on the travel side (Capital One Travel has no connection with Capital One, the bank - you'll be dealing with Hopper, the Mobile-App-Only travel agency).
It's worth checking them out - I've found a couple of deals (or wash prices) with them - but they won't price match any "Deals" available through other sites which require you log in.

Excellent credit, almost never have balance, probably top 15% of credit users in terms of score.
We never get denied for a card - though we have opened up a lot over our lives.
They also also some questions like do you intend to carry a balance, etc - wife and I answered them diametrically opposite - still neither got approved.
Not sure what they are looking for? Excellent credit with no recent cards?
I have had the Venture for over 5 years and actually been grandfathered into their $59 annual fee. This is my go to card for anything that's not restaurant/gas/travel/rotating category and I have never had an issue in overseas use in Europe or Asia.
