It seems like this machine is much more capable than just Minecraft and Roblix, which my 4 year old laptop with integrated graphics can handle just fine. I've been out of the gaming PC world for a long time but just getting back into it, but this seems like a decent rig that should be able to play most games on medium to high settings on 1080p?

Serious question because I am really ignorant about what constitutes a good deal on desktop computers, but if this is $20 more than a good deal in Feb, it strikes me as a pretty good deal today?

It's fine. It's not an exceptional deal but if you don't want to build your own machine, which not everyone does, its a fine deal for now. Decent light gaming machine, would be great for kids for like Minecraft and Roblox and streaming.

No, yeah I mean correct, this is a good machine. Just saying it's not going to do like the latest games at 4K or whatever. But yeah this is a real nice 1080P card.

Minecraft will look a ton better too as even though its basic and will play on old machines, they updated it so the newer cards add some cool lighting effects and the such, it looks real nice on the 2000 and up series cards. The "ray tracing" I think it was called.

Holy cow in what world is a 3060 light gaming? Lmao. Shit can run most games at max settings regardless of it being an i5 with just 16gb of ram. My 2070 laptop runs everything on Max just fine and still works as new. I've since upgraded to a 3080 but still lol.

Because 3060 is similar performance to 1080 Ti from 6 years ago

Tangential question since we have some PC experts here. If I am looking to spend $1000-$1300 for a gaming and work desktop PC for my adult son. What is the most bang for the buck in this price range from a reputable manufacturer?

Would this be powerful enough to power a Trackman 4 for virtual golf? Specifications listed in link (sorry, I'm not good at this stuff and don't want to make a mistake)
