Existing 2TB subscriber here - nothing for us sadly. Similar to the promotion they did last year for the free Google Nest Hub when subscribing to the 2TB plan.

I'm on the lower Google One plan and it's like $20/yr? So going to a $100/yr plan and all you get is a Chromecast seems kinda meh. I still have the OG Chromecast Ultra and it's mostly working, but annoying now when you ask a Google Home for a YouTube Video, it will say "which one would you like" but no longer shows the actual options so you have to ask blindly.

Not really a deal unless you were already planning on upgrading the plan. The value of the Chromecast hardware is meh (definitely wouldn't call it a $50 value).

I'm on an existing plan, but it's through T-Mobile. Doesn't look like it'll offer me this promotion. Does anyone know a workaround?

Chromecast has the unique ability to cast anything from a PC using just chrome. This is especially useful for older PCs that don't have modern capabilities to cast on their own. It's very handy for casting a movie stored on your PC with VLC player, YouTube videos (with no ads thanks to ad blocker) or anything your hearts desires from within chrome from a desktop/laptop to a TV in another room.

If your a movie buff Chromecast gives an older desktop a second life by turning it from your use to be everyday desktop (especially older gaming rigs) into a media center PC that only stores and play hundreds of movies and can send the movie to any TV in the house.
