personal experience on Hisense, make sure you get some kind of warranty that extends over the regular Hisense 12 month warranty, I purchased a Hisense on a BF deal from BB, it was a 70 inch 4K for $5XX. The motherboard (that is what the cust rep said) died on the 13th month with normal daily use. I wasn't expecting much for such a great deal but didnt expect it to only last 1 year. Instead of getting another Hisense I went with an LG 77 inch OLED from Costco, it was $2K but I have the warranty and piece of mind of what I think is a quality TV that will last me a while. My other Sony 55 inch has been going strong for more than 10 years. just my $0.02 on Hisense.

Did you get one for the $159? That was one of those Amazon Lightning deals that they probably only had 10 of and sold out instantly at an odd hour LMAO

Not true. Some of the people even received 2 TVs for the price of one tv in that thread. Also, way more than 10 people posted that they had received the tv. Hundreds of TVs were sold for $159.

Do you not get sarcasm? LMAO Did the deal even last a whole minute? I almost feel this is one I tired to get and was gone instantly but I can't remember. You can't compare sales to those lightning deals, I can't count how many times I've watched them sell out as soon as the deal starts.

Seems to be the case with all these cheap TV brands. Though usually its the LEDs that goes out. They work like old Christmas tree lights where if one dies all die.
I've had a TCL and Insignia both die after 2.5 years.
Latest TV is another TCL but this time with a 5 year warranty through Best Buy. I don't trust the other "warranty" (its actually insurance) providers because i can go to the store and complain in person if needed.
They are still good deals with the warranty vs what big names like LG charge for the TV itself so I haven't sworn off them.

Got mine from that lightning deal that sold out in a minute last year. Colors are great, hasn't gone out or anything. Its a u6h, just with a built in fire tv interface.

Imo the 3 of the best budget tv deals of 2022 were that lightning deal and the 200 dollar best buy tcl 5 series QLED during the holidays. And the target circle week tcl 43 455 for just over a 100 dollars.

Just recently bought the Amazon Fire TV 50" Omni QLED for $399, which is supposedly based on the TCL 5, but with more zones and a couple extra features. Haven't even opened it up yet.
Rtings liked the TCL 5 series more than the U6H series.
Trying to decide if more zones and features are worth the $100 more over this. Kind of leaning toward keeping the Fire TV.

I got in on the Hisense 50" and the TCL 55" deals. At least for the ones I received, the TCL was far interior in picture quality. The Hisense arrived pretty close to spot on, and even after attempted calibration, I couldn't get the TCL in the same ballpark. It also had a weird red fringing thing happening in some scenes. Could've been faulty. The Hisense had a small cluster of dead pixels, though, so there was that. Amazon sent a replacement hassle free, and the second is flawless after six months of daily use.

Got one of these on that lightning deal a few months back. Just a heads up, the U6H and U6HF are different TV's. It's more than just the FireTV interface. The menu and calibration settings are different. They're more elaborate on the U6H, and more basic on U6HF. It appears that the U6HF is an Amazon exclusive.
