Haven't been on sale for a little bit. You have to select amazon from other sellers and the ship date is out until August 5-8th but you can still order them.

I am surprised this isn't a popular deal. Is $30 off the prior sale price of $180 not significant? The only other thing I noticed is the title shouldv'e been Sennheiser HD 560S. If you separate the HD and the 560 it comes up with more past search results.

I think $150 was the "normal" price for a while, seems to have gone up a bit recently though. Love these headphones, they're more detailed than the HD58X that I had before. Not quite Sundara level of clarity/bass, but definitely the best headphones at the $150 mark that I've used. Byerdynamic DT770 feels like a step down in detail/dynamics, but it's got more bass. I'm considering selling most of my headphones and just keeping these.

I just purchased these after looking at them since they released. I currently own HD600's and DT 990 Pro 80ohm. I am about 80/20 games (mostly single player) to music and always find myself gravitating back to the 990's since I feel they give me a better gaming experience. But that being said the 600's sound phenomenal no contest between the two, but they lack the immersive feel that the 990's give me. I'm getting the 560s delivered today and I'm hoping these are the middle ground or soundstage and sound quality so I only have to plug in one pair of headphones.

I would appreciate a follow up to see how you like them! Happy 4th weekend.

So I have only spent a little while with them so far but I'm actually thinking I like them better than the 600's. They don't have quite the separation that the 600's have but what they lack there I think they make up for in a little boost of bass and treble. The mids still seem really similar and clean, which is awesome since that was my favorite quality of the 600's. I have been cycling through different genres of music that I listen too so far. Here's a little breakdown of what I am feeling.

Classical - Its very very clsoe but I might have to go with the 600's for separation.
Rock/Metal - Definitely the 560S. It just adds way more enjoyment with the bass and treble.
Jazz fusion - Tie. I could go either way with this. Depends on the song.
Vocal focused songs ie. Adele - Still have to give it to the 600's for the smooth smooth vocals in the mids

So far i'm leaning towards keeping the 560S and selling off my 600's. I have to do some gaming and will report back.

As you described different headphones sound better that others for different purposes and different genres of music. There is no one headphone for everything unless you want to compromise on sound. This is why I keep multiple headphones.

Correct. Though I have a weird OCD about having things sit and not be used. That's why I'm looking to consolidate and find a headphone that is decent at everything I want it to be at and sell off the rest. I know its crazy but I really only what 1 pair of headphones lol.

Deal is dead. I decided to price match it @ Best Buy. Planning on using the apple usb-c dongle for now. Totally new to higher quality headphones.

They are really great headphones. I already put the hd600's up for sale since these are exactly what I was looking for. You should enjoy them a lot. Remember they are open back though and they leak sound and let sound in as well so if your in a noisy environment open back headphones might not be what you want.

Sound and fit are great. A bit snug but I'm assuming it will loosen up over time and the feeling quickly fades. I'm surprised it's so loud connected directly to the laptop. Volume on 10 is plenty. Comfort is #1 priority for me. Gaming 2nd. These were 8 vs 7 for comfort according to rtings compared to the HD 600. Best Buy didn't carry anything else for me to consider (I had store credit to spend ) I'll probably return the apple dongle since not needed at all.

Man this was a great deal and I just missed it by a few weeks! They're listed @ $229 retail everywhere now. Probably biting the bullet and grabbing the refurbs direct from Sennheisser as they're only $149 and still include a 2 year warranty.
