I've been using these for 3 years. 2 in my living room and 2 on my computer desk. I finally got fed up with using them on my desk and I upgraded to the Emotiva B1+. Much richer sound and better for nearfield. Do not get the S803 for a desk setup. They are large and the sound can sound muddy at nearfield. For hometheater when you can turn the sound a little higher and you're not as close they are better. If you look around you can see a lot of negative reviews mixed in with the positive ones. These speakers aren't perfect and are not for everybody.

Pretty decent for the money. These are good home theater speakers and can work as a desktop stereo setup. Can be a bit lacking in the midrange though.

you want these 803, not 801

got the black ens a while back as part of a set. actually bought two different black sets and mix-matched them. they are decent black speakers and work for their purpose. laugh out loud

I've read: They are both in the same class but AJs are warmer. If you already have AJs and are happy with them you should stick with them or maybe save for some more expensive higher class monitors.
